Storing Your Vending Machines Between Locations
Every operator hits this eventually. A location closes, a lease ends, a client goes out of business, or you buy six machines at auction and have nowhere to put them. Suddenly you own several hundred pounds of refrigerated equipment each and no floor to put it on.
The usual answers are a garage, a self storage unit, or leaving them at the old site and hoping. All three cost you more than they look like they cost. Here is the honest comparison, and then what managed storage actually involves.
Managed warehouse storage, plus the wraps, upgrades and repairs that happen while your machine is sitting anyway.

Your four options, compared
It is the default answer and it is usually the wrong one. Four specific reasons:

Intake.

Storage.

Work while it sits.

Retrieval.
What managed storage with us involves
What to do with the machine before
it goes into storage
Whether you store with us or somewhere else, do these five things:
Empty it completely.
All product, all cash, all coin in the changer. This is the single biggest determinant of what condition it comes out in.
Clean the trays and the drop zone.
Residue is what attracts pests and what makes a machine smell six months later.
Drain and dry any water system.
Coffee and hot beverage machines especially. Standing water grows things and freezing water splits lines.
Photograph it.
Every side, the interior, the display and the payment hardware. If you ever need to prove condition, you will be glad.
Note the model, serial and any known faults.
A machine that went in with a flaky bill validator should come out with that on the record, not as a surprise.

Tell us how many machines, what type, and roughly how long. We will quote storage and tell you honestly whether it is worth doing anything to them while they sit. Call (732) 865-8019 or contact us online.
