Vending Machines for Schools & Universities
Provide students, faculty, and staff with convenient access to snacks and beverages throughout the day. For participating K-12 schools, product planning can also take applicable federal nutrition requirements into account.
School and university vending involves different requirements depending on the setting. In K-12 buildings that take part in the National School Lunch Program, food and drinks sold to students during the school day must meet the USDA Smart Snacks in School standards, so the menu matters as much as the machine. On college campuses the challenge is volume and hours: dorms, libraries, and athletic centers need food late at night when dining halls are closed. Vend Guys supplies both, with combo machines, AI smart coolers, and micro markets chosen for student traffic and shipped nationwide.
Best Vending Machines for Schools and Campuses

Healthy vending machines
Machines built around better-for-you menus, such as the Seaga HY2200 HealthyYou, make compliance easier to maintain.
Smart coolers for campus buildings
Libraries, student unions, and residence halls with camera coverage can offer fresh food around the clock with a HAHA smart cooler.
Micro markets for dorms and student centers
Self-checkout markets serve large residence halls and replace late-night convenience store runs.
Outdoor machines for athletics
Stadiums, fields, and pool complexes need weather-rated equipment. See outdoor vending machines.
Cashless readers
Students pay by phone. A card reader keeps machines selling without a change drawer.
What Snacks Are Allowed in School Vending Machines
Smart Snacks applies from midnight before the school day until 30 minutes after it ends, anywhere on campus students can buy. Snacks must meet limits such as 200 calories and 230 mg of sodium per item, and allowed drinks narrow by grade level. In practice, planograms by zone look like this:
K-12 student areas:
water and plain or low-fat milk options
K-12 student areas:
baked chips, whole grain crackers, and whole grain bars
K-12 student areas:
fruit cups, dried fruit, and trail mix portions within the limits
High schools:
low-calorie and zero-calorie drinks where the rules allow
