Vending Machine Relocation and Moving Service
White glove machine moving from $150, plus the weight and clearance data you need before anyone picks it up.
A vending machine is a 600 pound appliance with a compressor, a glass door, and a center of gravity that wants to kill you. Two people and a rented dolly is how machines get dropped, doorframes get destroyed, and refrigeration systems get quietly ruined by being laid on their side.
We move machines for a living because we sell them for a living. Same trucks, same crews, same equipment we use to deliver a new cooler to a lobby. This page covers what we charge, what we cover, and the numbers you need whether you hire us or not.
We run our own crews across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Within that footprint we handle pickup, transport, placement, leveling and setup.
Outside that footprint we ship equipment on freight to all 48 continental states from our warehouse in West Berlin, New Jersey. That is a different service with a different cost structure, covered below.

Pre move survey. We ask for door widths, stair counts, floor surface, elevator dimensions and dock access before we quote, so nothing gets discovered on the day.
Protection. Moving blankets on the machine, floor protection on your surfaces, corner guards on doorframes.
Proper equipment. Appliance hand trucks, machinery dollies, stair climbers where stairs are involved, pallet jacks and a liftgate truck.
Upright transport. Refrigerated machines stay upright. Laying a compressor on its side can push oil into the refrigerant lines, and the damage often does not show up for weeks.
Placement and leveling. The machine ends up where you want it, leveled, plugged in and running, not parked inside the door.
Settling time. If a refrigerated unit has been tilted at all, it needs to stand upright before you power it up. We tell you how long.
Relocation Starts at only $150 Per Machine, for a straightforward move within our service area. Price goes up with distance, stair count, access difficulty, and the number of machines.

How much does a vending machine weigh
The smart cooler figures come from our own catalog. A HAHA Mini weighs 220 pounds, a Pro 264, a Max 620 242, a Freezer 276, and an Ultra 410. Full specifications for every model are on the HAHA smart cooler page.
A typical full size glass front machine runs about 640 pounds at 72 inches high by 39 wide by 30 deep. Ice and water machines are in a different league entirely, around 1,600 pounds.

Will it fit? The access checklist
Doorway
✓ Measure the narrowest point along the entire delivery path.
✓ Standard commercial doors are typically 32–36 inches wide. Full-size combination machines can be 36–44 inches wide. Measure both.
Turns
✓ Corridor width at every turn
✓ You need corridor width greater than machine depth plus clearance to pivot
Threshold
✓ Height of any lip or step
✓ Anything over about 2 inches needs a ramp
Stairs
✓ Count them, both ends
✓ Stairs need a stair climber and usually a surcharge
Elevator
✓ Interior depth, door width, weight rating
✓ Machine is likely 600 to 1,000 pounds loaded. Check the plate.
Floor
✓ Surface type and rating
✓ Commercial concrete typically handles 50 to 125 pounds per square foot. Raised access flooring and older wood framing may not.
Parking
✓Where the truck legally stops
✓ On a city street this is often the hardest part of the whole job
Power
✓ Outlet within reach of final position
✓ Standard 110 to 120 volt for most smart coolers. Verify for larger equipment.
If any one of these fails, tell us before the day. A move that gets discovered at the door costs everyone money.
Move it, ship it, or replace it
The question buyers actually have is not “what does moving cost”, it is “is this worth moving at all”. Here is the frame.
Move it
when the machine is within our regional footprint, is in good working order, and is worth more than the move. At $150 to $400 for a local move, almost any functioning machine clears that bar.
Freight it
when the machine is going a long distance and is worth the transport. Long haul runs $700 to $1,200 plus, and specialty transport more. Palletized freight with liftgate delivery is the standard route. At those numbers, be honest about the machine’s condition first.
Replace it
when the machine is old enough that transport plus reinstallation approaches the cost of a used unit delivered to the new site. Used and refurbished machines start around $1,500 to $3,000. If you are moving a 15 year old machine 800 miles, you are paying freight on a liability. See machines for sale.
Store it
when the new location is not ready. Machines sitting in a garage for six months develop problems that a managed warehouse prevents. See managed storage.
