Vending Machine Locations for Sale, With Your Money Held in Escrow

Find locations for sale

Ask any operator what they hate most about growing a route and the answer is not the machines. It is the six weeks of walking into businesses to be told the owner is not in.

Most services that promise to solve that sell you a list. You pay $19 or $39 or $999, you get names and addresses, and you still do the cold calling. Read their own FAQs and you can see the problem: "How accurate is your data?", "Do you offer any refunds?", "Do you call and email the locations for me?" Those questions exist because the answer is usually no.

Vending Village works differently. You are not buying a lead. You are buying a location that has already agreed to have a machine, your money sits in escrow until you confirm it is real, and if it is not, you get it back.

1

You browse verified listings

Every seller goes through identity verification before they can list. You see the location details before you pay.

2

You pay through Stripe, and the money is held

It does not go to the seller on click. It sits in escrow.

3

You have 20 days to confirm the location is what was described

4

If it checks out, funds are released to the seller

If it does not, you get your money back under the money back guarantee.

How the escrow actually works

This is the part worth understanding, because it is the part nobody else in this category offers.

Go see it. Talk to the contact. Confirm the machine can physically go where the listing says it can.

What makes a location worth buying

Not every location is worth what it costs. Before you buy, look at these:

Traffic and captivity.

A hundred people who cannot easily leave the building beat five hundred who walk past a deli. Warehouses, plants, hospitals, apartment complexes and gyms outperform street front retail almost every time.

Hours.

A 24 hour facility earns around the clock. A location that empties at 5pm gives you eight productive hours a day.

Existing competition.

If there is already a machine and a break room fridge and a deli next door, the ceiling is low regardless of headcount.

Physical access.

Can a 600 pound machine actually get to the spot? Doorway width, stairs, elevator rating, and a working outlet within reach. Check this before the 20 days are up, not after. Clearance figures are on the relocation page.

Commission structure.

Published industry guidance puts a reasonable revenue share at 10 to 15 percent of gross, with flat rent alternatives commonly $50 to $200 per month. Anything demanding 20 to 30 percent needs to be an exceptional location to justify it.

Fit with your route.

A great location 90 minutes from everything else you service is a worse location than a decent one on an existing loop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a one time fee or a subscription?
Purchases are per listing. There is no monthly membership required to browse or to buy. Competing services in this category typically run monthly subscriptions or tiered lead packages instead.
How does the money back guarantee work?
Your payment is held in escrow through Stripe rather than released to the seller immediately. You have 20 days to confirm the location is as described. If it is not, you get your money back.
How are prices determined?
Sellers price their own listings based on the location type, traffic, hours and what is already in place. You see the price before you commit, and the escrow window is your protection against a listing that does not match its description.
How can I find out when new locations become available in my area?

You can fill out our location request form. This will subscribe you to email updates in your region, and notify our verified sellers of your interest.

Do the locations already have a vending machine in place?
Depends on the category. "Location only" means the site has agreed to host a machine and you supply the equipment. "Location with machine" includes the machine currently serving it. "ATM at location" is an existing ATM placement.
What if I do not have a machine yet?

Buy the location, then buy the equipment. We stock machines, smart coolers, micro market kiosks and payment hardware, and we ship nationwide. Start with machines for sale.

How will I know when a location becomes available in my area?
Fill out the location request form with your area and the type of site you want. You get notified when a match is listed.
Is there a membership cost?
No membership is required to browse or to purchase.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments run through Stripe. Funds are held in escrow until the guarantee window closes.
How is this different from buying a lead list?
A lead list gives you names of businesses that might want a machine. You do the calling, the pitching and the closing, and most of them say no. A pre approved location has already agreed. The difference is where the "no" happens, and who absorbs it.
How do I know the seller is real?
Sellers go through identity verification before they can list. Beyond that, the escrow structure means you are not relying on trust. You are relying on the money not moving until you confirm.
What commission should I expect to pay the location?
That varies and is between you and the business. Published industry guidance puts a typical revenue share at 10 to 15 percent of gross, with flat rent arrangements commonly $50 to $200 per month. The listing should tell you what arrangement is in place.
Can I get help moving the machine into the new location?
Yes, within Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia we relocate machines from $150. Outside that we ship equipment on freight nationwide. See machine relocation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is buying a location a one-time fee?
Yes, it is a one-time fee paid to the seller. Any agreements between you (the operator) and the location's property manager will be separate.
How does the 100% money back guarantee work?

Once you make a purchase, the money is held in escrow via Stripe. Only once you (the buyer) confirm that you're ready to finalize the order, the money is released to the seller. Otherwise, as long as you cancel the order within 20 days of being introduced to the location's property manager, the money is fully refunded to you.

How is the sale price determined?

The seller of this location sets the price based on factors such as foot traffic, hours of operation, proximity to competition and difficulty to secure.

How can I find out when new locations become available in my area?

You can fill out our location request form. This will subscribe you to email updates in your region, and notify our verified sellers of your interest.

Is there a membership fee to join Vending Village?

No, signing up and creating an account on Vending Village is free. Transaction fees apply only when a sale is made.

What payment methods can I use on Vending Village?

Currently all transactions are handled by Stripe using any major credit card such as Visa or Mastercard.
